5Point Adventure Film Weekend

The 5Point Adventure Film Weekend at the Stanley is a 3-day celebration of film, lifestyle, adventure and the great outdoors set at the footstep of Rocky Mountain National Park at one of the nation’ s most iconic hotels. Leveraging the global reputation of some of Colorado’s top outdoor thought leaders, this unique event brings together guests from Colorado and beyond to enjoy three days of film entertainment, inspiring speakers, great food and beverage, and outdoor play.

Founded by Julie Kennedy, former owner of Climbing Magazine, and Yvon Chouinard, founder of the outdoor brand Patagonia, 5Point has grown the reputation as the leading adventure film event in the country.

This year’s inaugural festival in Estes Park coincides with Colorado Public Lands Day (May 20th). In 2016, Colorado became the first state in the nation to establish a holiday recognizing the value of public lands within the state, celebrating the significant contributions these lands have to our state.

As part of the weekend, 5Point attendees and the public alike will have the opportunity to participate in a trail maintenance project and guided experiences into Rocky Mountain National Park with Kent Mountain Adventure Center and Colorado Mountain School.

5Point Film at The Stanley will kick-off with a craft beer welcome reception, an evening of adventure films, and a keynote talk from world-class climbers and athletes. Saturday features the opportunity to explore Rocky Mountain National Park, an afternoon and evening film session, and a panel discussion with filmmakers and athletes. Sunday includes morning yoga and smoothies along with the some of 5Point’s best films.
